  2. Pinch hing,
  3. 1/2 tsp haldi powder,
  4. 1/2 tsp salt,

  9. 1/4 tsp Jeera,
  10. Pinch of hing,
  11. 1 med sized onion chopped finely,
  12. 3 dry red chilli,
  13. 1 tsp grated garlic,
  14. 1/2 tsp grated ginger,
  15. 1/2 tsp haldi powder,
  16. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder,
  17. 1/2 tsp dhania powder,
  18. 1 med sized tomato roughly chopped,
  19. to taste, Salt
  20. 2 tbsp dahi,
  21. 1/4 tsp garam masala powder,
  22. as required Some chopped dhania patta,

Instructions to make to make Sabut Moong Curry or Green Gram Curry

  1. Wash moong, soak in water overnight. Strain it, keep aside.
  2. Take a pressure cooker, add moong, hing, haldi powder, salt & ghee.
  3. Add 1 cup water, place the lid, give 3 whistles at high flame. Turn off the flame, allow it to depressurise naturally.
  4. Take out in a bowl, keep aside
  5. Now take a wok or deep bottom pan, add ghee, heat it.
  6. Add laung, saute it for a sec.
  7. Now add zeera, let it splutter. Add hing now.
  8. Add onion, stir fry it until brown. Add dry red chilli now.
  9. Goes in now ginger garlic grated, add lil water, saute it until rawness is released.
  10. Add haldi, dhania & red chilli powder, again add lil water, stir fry it until oil has oozed out.
  11. Add tomato & salt, give a stir. Lower the flame, cover it with the lid, cook it till tomato becomes mushy.
  12. Open the lid, increase the flame, add dahi now, give a stir. Cover it again, lower the flame, cook it until oil has oozed out. Stir only once in between.
  13. Open the lid, increase the flame, add garam masala powder, give a stir.
  14. Now add in boiled Moong, stir it for a sec.
  15. Give a boil, lower the flame, cover it with the lid, cook it till a lil thick.
  16. Open the lid, add dhania patta, give a stir.
  17. Turn off the flame, cover it for 5 minutes.
  18. Take out in a serving bowl.
  19. Serve it with Roti..
