- 2 Onions - medium chopped

- 1 cup Chana dal - washed n soaked
- 1 tsp Ginger / garlic /Green chilli - crushed
- as per taste Salt
- 1/2 tsp Haldi -
- 1/2 tsp Dhania powder -
- 1 tsp Lal mirchi powder -
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala -
- 1 tbsp Oil -
- For tadka :
- 1 tsp Oil -
- 1/2 tsp Garlic - crushed /finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp Lal mirchi powder -
Instructions to make to make Dal palak
- Add onions. Cook till light brown.
- Add chopped tomatoes. Cook till tender.
- Add salt, lal mirchi powder, dhania powder, haldi n garam masala.
- Mix well. Add soaked chana dal, chopped spinach
- Mix it and add water upto level of chanadal.
- Pressure cook for 4-5 whistles.
- When pressure is released blend it with wooden churner.
- Transfer in serving bowl.
- Now heat oil add chopped/crushed garlic n lal mirchi powder and pour over Da palak.
- Serve hot with steamed/ Jeera rice / pulav.
