- Je commence par émincer les oignons et je les fais revenir dans le beurre dans le faitout. Comme je suis partie de tomates entières je les passe au mixeur pour les réduire en purée. Lorsque les oignons sont transparents j’ajoute les 3 tasses de tomates et 3 tasses d’eau. J’ajoute le sel, le sucre, le poivre et je fais mijoter doucement.
- Je prépare maintenant la pâte. Je mélange dans un saladier les ingrédients secs, puis avec une fourchette je mélange au beurre mou. Puis j’ajoute le lait petit à petit en mélangeant. Lorsque la pâte est souple c’est bon. Sans oublier le paprika. Là j’ai mis à peine plus que la demi-tasse de lait.
- Comme si je faisais des quenelles avec 2 cuillers je fais tomber les dumplings dans la soupe. Le dernier tombé je fais cuire 15mn. Je goûte pour être sûre que les dumpligs sont cuits. Je sers aussitôt.
